Jagalamudi Kuppusami Chowadary College
      The college was  affiliated  to  Andhra       University  in  the  begining  and  later  on transfered to Nagarjuna University which came into existence  in  August  1976. 
The name Nagarjuna University is also  quite significant in that  the great  Buddhist  preceptor and Philosopher  Acharya  Nagarjuna  founded  a  University  on the banks  of  river  Krishna  some centuries ago and made a great centre  of  learning,  attracting  a  large  number of teachers and 

        students from distant parts of the world.  The present Nagarjuna University  is  not  very  far  from the haloed spot and derives its moral sustenance from its predecessor.The departments of the University are situated on  its own campus at Nagarjuna Nagar  on N.H 5  between  Guntur  and Vijayawada over an entire area of 350 acres.The University college comprises of 29 fulifledged departments   and    research  centres. The   University   offers instruction  in   about   30   courses  leading to degrees in M.A.,  M.Sc., M.Com., M.B.A., M.L., M.C.A.,etc as well as facilities for research   leading   to   M. Phil.  and  Ph.  D.  degrees .Besides University college,   the University  has 145  affiliated    colleges under  its  jurisdiction.  Annually it is graduating 16,000 students.  As  far  as M,C.A  is  concerned,  the present student strength of first year is 600.
